This link on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is part of a larger online resource developed by the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA). Visitors to the site will find an overview of PTSD, including prevalence rates and information regarding who is at risk for developing PTSD. Additional sections address symptoms associated with PTSD, various forms of treatment for PTSD, as well as a section covering news and research findings on PTSD are also available.

For those working with youth, there are sections devoted to understanding, helping and treating children with PTSD. Particularly informative is a podcast on Treating Children with PSTD by Dr. Judith Cohen, Medical Director, Center for Traumatic Stress in Children & Adolescents at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – which can be found within the Helping your Child Manage Traumatic Events section of the site.
