The Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health (MACMH) is a non-profit organization devoted to advancing positive mental health for all children and their families through education and advocacy.

Visitors to the MACMH website will find information on events and training opportunities, publications and resources, various programs and mental health-related news. Of particular interest to both parents and educators are the Mental Health Fact Sheets . The Fact Sheets, which can be downloaded free of charge after signing up, provide general information, symptoms/behaviors, educational implications and instructional strategies/ classroom accommodations for the following common mental health disorders: Anxiety Disorders (including General Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Separation Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, and Panic Disorder); ADHD; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Bipolar Disorder; Eating Disorders; Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder; Oppositional Defiant Disorder; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; Reactive Attachment Disorder; Schizophrenia; Tourette’s Syndrome. The information provided by these fact sheets are based on the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders: The DSM-5.
