Greater Good in Action is a collaboration between University of California Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and HopeLab, in an effort to synthesize the research and articles on the Greater Good website into practices that people can bring into their daily lives to boost happiness.

Offered on the website are practices for building awe, compassion, connection, empathy, connection, gratitude, happiness, kindness, mindfulness, optimism, resilience to stress and self-compassion. Each practice is noted with a level of difficulty required (casual, moderate and intensive), a recommended frequency of practice, and the time the activity takes. In addition to instructions, the science behind each practice is also explained. Readers can also create a My Practices folder in which they save their preferred practices for easy future access.
