Enhancing Self-Driven Conflict Resolution on the Playground
By [posts-author-link] on [date]
The Peace Path is a tool that can be used by educators to promote positive responses to conflict in the playground. Upon witnessing an argument in the schoolyard, teachers can guide students to the peace path. The Peace Path is a life-size image that depicts the steps that need to occur in order to resolve the conflict. The tool encourages and fosters self-driven conflict resolution and promotes the maintenance of healthy peer relationships.
The Peace Path is developed and distributed by The Soul Shoppe, an organization based out of California. They conduct several educator training sessions yearly to disseminate information related to social and emotional childhood development. Educators can purchase a Peace Path graphic for between 14 and 55 US Dollars.
