Social & emotional learning and teacher education: What do we know and where do we go from here?, revised in 2016, is an article that aims to catalyze the conversation and serve as a call to action for the integration of SEL into teacher education. This White Paper, prepared for HopeLab (California, USA), contains sections that include a literature review on SEL in teacher education, a nationwide scan of SEL in teacher preparation, SEL programs and courses available for teachers, in-depth interviews with leaders in the field, potential next steps for SEL incorporation, and a list of SEL resources available for teachers.
