I Am Syria is a non-profit, media-based website that provides resources and educational lesson plans about the Syrian Conflict. Lesson plans include a timeline of the conflict in Syria, information and experiences of refugees, human rights violations, how refugees enter into the United States, and other current events regarding refugees across the globe. I Am Syria provides teachers with lesson plans of varying lengths for individual classes and age levels, as well as information on how to raise awareness about Syria at an institutional level. Lesson plans include a step-by-step guide for teachers, incorporate a variety of videos, and provide various social media platforms and informational resources for students to access. Also included is information on how individuals and schools can provide support to those affected by the Syrian crisis, as well as movie suggestions that highlight the Syrian crisis and experiences of refugees.
