The Syrian Journey: Choose Your Own Escape game, developed by the British Broadcasting Channel (BBC), serves as an educational tool for all ages to gain more insight into the journey many refugees face while fleeing to Europe. Based on real refugee experiences and backed by research, the game provides users choices on how to leave a war torn country to flee to Europe. From choosing your character gender, whether to flee by water or land, and which countries to flee to, each decision the user makes provides a new set of choices. Ultimately, the Syrian Journey provides users an introduction into the dangerous conditions and choices that refugees contend with on their journey away from war.
