This Resilience Guide was developed by CMAS (Childminding Monitoring, Advisory and Support), Canada’s leading organization with a focus on caring for immigrant and refugee children. Designed for educators and service providers who support refugee children and families, this guide provides evidence-informed information about the refugee experience and potential developmental effects from refugee trauma and resettlement. Key strategies that foster the resilience of children and families are also provided, with practical tips, actions, do’s and don’ts that can be applied directly to practice.

This guide, published in 2018, is available in English and French.
