This short video (2 minutes, 43 seconds), created by UNICEF, introduces the plight of refugee children through the life of Aya, an eight-year-old girl living with her family in a refugee camp in Lebanon. Aya is a cheerful, engaging child who loves to learn, and in this video Aya talks about her old life in Syria, her hopes for her future, and for Syria.

This video would be suitable for use in elementary and secondary classrooms, to raise awareness and increase student understanding of the refugee experience.
