Teaching students with eating disorders: Bodywhys
By [posts-author-link] on [date]
This link leads to a leaflet developed by Bodywhys that provides teachers and youth workers with information about eating disorders. The leaflet provides an overview of eating disorders, information to help identify youth at risk for eating disorders, information regarding what teachers can do if they are concerned about students with potential eating disorders, as well as a discussion regarding how to talk to a young person that one suspects may have an eating disorder. Additionally, information for teaching students with eating disorders is also provided. Bodywhys is a voluntary organization committed to providing support for individuals struggling with eating disorders, located in Ireland. Hence, although the leaflet lists internationally-developed resources, it is important to note that accessing listed hotlines and support groups numbers may incur a long distance charge.
