Teen Mental Health Guide for Parents and Caregivers
By [posts-author-link] on [date]
The Right By You campaign was created by Partners for Mental Health in Canada to improve mental health and prevent suicide among youth through increased awareness about youth mental health, greater understanding, acceptance and support for young people living with mental health disorders, and increased access to, and funding for, youth mental health services. The website includes videos from mental health practitioners, parents and youth that debunk common myths about mental health, as well as a feature where youth can share their story and learn from the experiences of others. Educators may be interested in the free, downloadable resource guide for parents and caregivers that includes information and strategies for supporting youth who are experiencing mental health difficulties, including recognizing warning signs, preventative strategies, and tips for talking about mental health and suicide with youth.
