With funding from the National Institutes of Health, researchers at NorthWestern university have developed a suite of free apps designed to target common causes of depression and anxiety. IntelliCare is a suite of apps that work together to help users address sleep problems, social isolation, lack of activity, and obsessive thinking. For example, the Worry Knot and Thought Challenger apps teach users how to manage their negative thoughts, whereas the Social Force app helps users fight feelings of depression by increasing positive contact with people who matter most in their lives. Other apps focus on increasing positive thoughts and behaviours that are scientifically linked to good mental health.

All of the apps are available for free to download from the Google Play Store.

Intellicare is a team of academic researchers, psychologists, and software developers dedicated to developing eHealth behavioral interventions that can help people make positive behavior changes to improve mental wellbeing.
