The Australian Childhood Foundation website provides educators and mental health professionals with resources and training on how to provide support for children who have experienced various forms of trauma. The website provides evidence–based research on how childhood abuse, neglect, and family violence can adversely affect children’s healthy psychological, emotional, and biological development. Information is also provided on how these various traumas can affect children’s behavior in school, in the home, and in the community in adverse ways. Although the information provided is specifically for residents of Australia, this information could be generalized for any educator or mental health specialist who works with children that have experienced trauma.
