This 20-hour self-study course is designed to empower teachers to create a teaching practice grounded in principles of social justice. Gain a more complex understanding of how your actions impact others and develop the skills to engage students in meaningful and productive discussions of sensitive topics like race, gender, social class, and disability through readings, activities, discussions, and reflections. Throughout the course, careful attention is paid to helping educators support an emerging sense of social justice in children. By increasing their responsiveness to social justice issues, this course will enable educators to build a safer, healthier, and more equitable world.

Participants complete each unit at their own pace, either individually or with their school teams.The course is delivered in digital form as a downloadable PDF, for a cost of $15. A certificate of professional development is available for those who complete the course.
